Flooded and Postponed
Tonight's opening game in the quarterfinal series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Guelph Royals has been postponed.
A wild downpour appeared in the city last night. In a very short period of time, low-lying areas of the city -- places like Christie Pits -- began to feel the deluge. As of this morning, left field was underwater (above).
Earlier this afternoon, the Maple Leafs announced that due to "wet field conditions", the game has been moved to Thursday night, August 9. First pitch will be unleashed at 7:30 pm.
