Toronto Maple Leafs 2025 Regular Season Leaderboard

Ryan Dos Santos

For statheads, the Toronto Maple Leafs put up some wild numbers to pore over this year.

Historic numbers, record-breaking numbers.

Terror on the Basepaths

It starts with Ryan Dos Santos, the newest owner of an IBL single season record.

In 2025, Dos Santos continued to be an on-base-getting and run-scoring machine for the Leafs.  He walked 46 times, breaking the record of 44 established by former Leaf Bill Byckowski way back in 1988.

Dos Santos was a terror on the basepaths this season.  He stole 15 bases.  The next-highest tally on the team was 3 swipes by Dennis Dei Baning.

El Blanco also scored 45 runs, twelve more than the next man on the club, Jhon Javier.

Home Run King

The 2025 Leafs had a record-breaker, and they also had a bona fide candidate for IBL MVP in Jordan Castaldo.

This season as every season, Castaldo played with ferocious focus and excellence.

He batted .336, second behind only Marcus Knecht.  He led the team with 38 RBIs and a  1.148 OPS.

Best of all, and I'm going to say this loudly for the MVP voters.  Castaldo hit more home runs than anyone else in the IBL despite missing a quarter of the season.  His 12 round trips earned him the IBL home run crown and the undying devotion of fans at Christie Pits, who get to watch this man play baseball for free.

The Core Four Eight

In 2025, a core of eight players dominated the club's offensive statistics.

The biggest beasts were, as expected, Jordan Castaldo and Marcus Knecht.  They were backed up by newcomers Dennis Dei Baning and Jhon Javier.  Rounding off the top eight were Ryan Dos Santos, Dan Marra, Justin Marra and Spenser Ross.

A couple of rookies - Ben Sitarenios and Spencer MacInnis -  joined them in most of the categories below, offering a preview of what the next generation might bring to the Pits in the coming years.

As dominant as the Leafs were at the plate, their Achilles' heel was pitching, as it is most years in the bandbox that is Christie Pits.

The Leafs went through a lot of arms this year, trying this, trying that, never quite finding a stable rotation and having an even worse time with the bullpen.

Towards the end of the year, the trio of Wilgenis Alvarado, Josh Berenbaum and Franklin Hernandez emerged as three solid starters.  Luis Florentino stood out as a candidate for closer.  For everyone else it was all hands on deck, whenever and wherever.
