A three-run home run in the 1st inning of last night's game at Arnold Anderson Stadium was all the Brantford Red Sox needed to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs.
With two men on, Red Sox DH Nick Weglarz clouted the winning blast off of Leafs starter Marek Deska.
The Leafs battled back with two runs in the 3rd inning, but that was as close as it got and Brantford won 5-2.

The Maple Leafs are now 11-12 and they remain in fourth place, 7.5 games behind the Barrie Baycats. Their next game is home at Christie Pits against the Burlington Bandits on Sunday, July 6.
