Game 26: Brantford Red Sox at Toronto Maple Leafs - July 5, 2015
Red Sox win 6-2
After losing the first game of a Christie Pits doubleheader in dramatic fashion, the Brantford Red Sox earned a split with a 6-2 win in the nightcap.
The visitors eked out a couple of early runs against Marek Deska, ace of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the 4th inning, they knocked him hard and ran up a 6-0 lead that the Leafs were unable to overcome this time.
On the other side of the bump, Matt Martinow held the home side to 5 hits and 2 runs en route to the win. Raul Borjas and Tyler Mitchell supplied the RBIs -- it was Borjas' fourth of the day, but not enough to foster a second epic comeback this afternoon.
