Leafs' All Stars Head to Barrie

The 2015 IBL All Star Game takes place this afternoon at Coates Stadium in Barrie.

Three players make up the Toronto contingent: batsmen Tyler Mitchell and Jon Waltenbury, and hurler Dan Zlotnick.  They will team up with stars from six other clubs to take on the defending IBL champion Barrie Baycats.  Perry Mader, manager of the Maple Leafs, will also be there as part of the coaching squad.

Prior to the game, Waltenbury will compete in a home run derby against IBL sluggers Sean Reilly, Cleveland Brownlee, Kevin Atkinson and Jordan Castaldo.

The "all star break" comes as the Leafs prepare to play six games in the next eight days:

Sunday July 12 - London at Toronto
Tuesday July 14 - Toronto at Hamilton (rescheduled game)
Wednesday July 15 - Barrie at Toronto
Thursday July 16 - Toronto at Barrie
Saturday July 18 - Toronto at Burlington (doubleheader)
Sunday July 19 - Burlington at Toronto
